ACADEMIC SUPPORT PROGRAMS

  Mini Grants

The PTA accepts applications from teachers who are applying for our mini-grants, and then selects and awards mini-grant recipients. 

The majority of PTA contributions go directly back into the classroom through Mini Grants - approximately $18,000 annually. 

 Science Force

Working closely with the STEM lab teacher and the Curriculum Support Teacher throughout the year, we volunteer with students for hands-on Science fun that follows the curriculum for each grade.

 Scholastic Reading Program

Our volunteers work with our school librarians in rewarding students who earn points using the online Scholastic Reading Program purchased by the PTA.

  Media Center 

We help our school librarians with securing volunteers to work at the PTA Book Fair and by checking out and shelving books all throughout the year.

COMMUNITY & SCHOOL SUPPORT PROGRAMS

 Room Parent Program
Our Room Reps coordinate classroom volunteers and activities; our Room Rep Coordinator liaises between Room Reps., teachers, and the PTA.

  Landscaping
The PTA coordinates the maintenance of the school grounds August - March since this is not done by Fulton County during the school year.

 Vision and Hearing Screening
Volunteers help with the 3rd grade vision & hearing screening conducted by the school nurses.

  Staff Breakfast
Throughout the school year, we host four breakfasts for teachers and staff. Click here to donate.

 Teacher Appreciation
We plan and coordinate teacher/staff luncheons throughout the year and organize teacher appreciation week.

  Newcomer's Committee

Our Committee holds a breakfast to welcome new families to our school at the beginning of the year. We also coordinate tours for the Kindergarten registration at the end of the year, as well as put together welcome packets for new families.

 Family Portraits

The PTA organizes and manages the Family Portraits table at Sneak Peek for the family portrait event held at the beginning of the year.

  Book Fair

Our annual PTA Book Fair is an exciting celebration of reading with hundreds of fun, engaging, and affordable books for kids to discover!  We work with Scholastic to manage the event, and our volunteers organize displays, inventory, and assist with sales.​

  Gratitude Committee
This PTA Committee sends thank you cards to companies, organizations, and other donors for their generous donations to our school.

 Boxtops
We coordinate collection and contests of Box Tops to raise money for SBCE. Click here to learn more.

 Spirit Wear
We coordinate the ordering and sale of all Spirit Wear school items. 

  Yearbook
This PTA Committee oversees the creation and distribution of annual school Yearbook.
